Chapter Bylaws

Article I  Name

The name of this ASSOCIATION shall be the Fort Worth Texas Association of Neonatal Nurses (FWTANN).

 

Article II  Purpose

Purpose

The purpose of this ASSOCIATION shall be:

  1. To promote the highest standards of neonatal nursing practice, education, and research;

  2. To maintain an organization that will assist the neonatal nurse in optimizinf professional development economic , and general welfare;

  3. To provide an organization that promotes the general welfare of neonatal nurses.

 

Article III  Goals

Goals

The goals of this ASSOCIATION shall be to:

  1.  Facilitate an exchange of information between nurses in the neonatal field;

  2.  Maintain for it's members a forum for continuing education;

  3.  Provide communication networks among neonatal nurses working in the field;

  4.  Support and participate in the ongoing development and continuation of specialty certification.

 

 

Article IV  Membership

 

 

 

 

 Section 1

Membership in the ASSOCIATION is a privilege and is contingent on concurrent membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NEONATAL NURSES ("NANN").

 

Section II

The membership of the ASSOCIATION shall not be limited by numbers.

 

Section III

Membership shall consist of current members as set forth by NANN bylaws.

 

Section IV

A person shall be declared a member upon payment of local and national dues.

 

Section V

Dues shall be determined by a majority vote of members. Dues MAY NOT exceed NANN dues. Dues for active FWTANN members shall be $20.00 annually. Beginning February 1, 2013, dues will be prorated depending on month of membership. Guest fee shall be $5.00.

 

 

Article V  Officers

Section I Excutive commitee

a. The officers of the ASSOCIATION shall consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Collectively these officers are refered to as the Excutive Comittee.

b. All officers shall be registered nurses.
